Make sure to focus your efforts in the right places.

You would only be wasting your time if you invested it into the wrong platform. The platform that wasn’t going to reach the audience you’re trying to reach in the first place. A lot of people seem to think that having a presence on all social platforms, is going to create more engagement. This isn’t always the case. Putting time and effort into the right socials is what’s going to create a little more engagement. For example, let’s take a cleaning company 🧹 They want to increase their organic reach through a social network. The right platform would be something like Facebook. A platform they can invest time into through creating written posts, explaining their services. Something like Pinterest, however, is more likely to fail miserably. It’s a social networking site whose users post with pictures. If this cleaning company were to invest their time into this social platform, because they had the mindset that they needed to be present everywhere, is most likely wouldn’t work. Or at least, nothing would come from it. There’s no need to waste your energy on a social platform, that is 99% likely to NOT increase your organic reach on social. Focus your efforts in the right places.

Quality over quantity all day every day.

We all, occasionally, like to do a bit of waffling and get lots of mediocre work done, and pat ourselves on the back at the end of the day because we’ve produced a big pile of… average work.  When the reality is; none of it is going to impress anyone. The same goes for content on social media. Tweeting lots could potentially give off the impression that your business is active, but if the tweets are meaningless, then they’re far less likely to bring in organic reach. Which is what we want above anything. So you need to ensure your content is quality and has meaning. If you’re a tech company, tweet Apple or Google related tweets for example. Tweet something not only you’re passionate about, but something you know others will be passionate about too 💥

Engage with your followers!

When you reply to your follower’s comment, or like one of their pictures in return, you’re creating a social media bond. And that can have many positives. It can create more attraction towards your page, and it’s an easy way to encourage your audience to engage with both you and your content. If your followers are seeing that you take the time to respond to them and get them involved, they’re more likely to stick around, and could even share your business socials. Also, by engaging with your audience, there is a chance it will create user-generated content, which is amazing👌🏻

Videos are the future 🎬

Videos are becoming increasingly popular. They’re everywhere now. All over 99% of social platforms, and everyone is posting them. Whether that be a gif or a short 10-second video. 80% of marketers create visual posts on their social media. Which is a HUGE number. It seems that video is becoming one of the most successful types of content, so make sure you jump on that bandwagon right this second!
