Why First Impressions Matter
When a potential customer clicks on your website, a clock starts ticking immediately. If they are left with an unresponsive website, or staring at a blank screen for more than two or three seconds, the likelihood is they aren’t going to stick around to see what services you provide. They will hit the back button and head straight towards one of your competitors.
It’s not just about user experience though, a slow website could signal a worse brand perception to the general public. A sluggish website communicates a poor tone from the start any existing or potential customers. Users may subconsciously assume your services are of a similar standard. On the other hand, a well-optimised website could give the desired effect, building credibility with users from their first click.
