The relationship between WWSET & Big Gun Digital came about after an ex-gunner, Mark Fawkes, was appointed as Head of Fundraising & Communications at WWSET in April 2021. One of Mark’s first jobs was to bring the website up to date and ensure it was functional. Having had experience with working for Big Gun, Mark knew that Big Gun were the right fit to look after the site.
Mark contacted our Operations Manager, Tom Burton, in the early part of September 2021 and discussed what was required on the website. Tom reviewed the requirements and put a plan in place for the website to be migrated over to Big Gun’s servers. Once migrated Big Gun were able to bring the website’s framework and plugins up to date and carried out thorough testing to ensure everything was functioning properly.
After our work was completed, Mark commented “Within hours of taking over the WWSET site, Big Gun had the CMS updated and working like a dream. The plugins were updated, with the ones that weren’t needed taken out and some new SEO and security plugins added. The site’s template kept randomly breaking before but it consistently displays fine now, and they also installed an SSL certificate on the site, which is absolutely essential to any site in 2021!”
WWSET now have a fully secure & functional website that enables people to book their courses online. The site is regularly maintained and updated and any issues are quickly rectified as they crop up. Big Gun Digital are delighted to be able to support WWSET and look forward to maintaining this strategic partnership for many years to come.
