Artemis wanted to transition away from their existing agency and needed a partner who could handle a dual mandate: rebuilding their digital infrastructure for longevity and dramatically improving the efficiency of their PPC campaigns.

The Challenge

Outdated Foundations and Wasted Spend

Artemis faced two distinct hurdles that were stifling growth:

Outdated Digital Foundation: The existing website was aging. They needed a structure that was technically secure, modern, and built for the long term. Key objectives included improved user experience (UX) and clearer “Calls to Action” to drive quotes.
Inefficient Ad Spend: Their existing PPC campaigns were suffering from low Click-Through Rates (CTR) and technical tracking issues. Budget was being wasted on broad keywords that weren’t converting into paid jobs.

The Strategy

We implemented a comprehensive tree surgeon web design and marketing strategy, treating the website and ads as a unified ecosystem.

Bespoke WordPress Build: We moved away from rigid templates. Using WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), we built a flexible, modular site. This allowed for 13 different content blocks, giving Juliet the freedom to create unique page layouts that showcase their work without breaking the design.
Hyper-Local PPC: Tree surgery is a local business. We abandoned broad targeting in favour of “radius maps” focused strictly on their Hertfordshire head office locality.
Local Service Ads (LSA): We identified and implemented Google’s Local Service Ads, a format specifically designed for trades, to capture high-intent leads at the very top of search results.
The Feedback Loop: We established a rigorous bi-weekly lead management process. By downloading captured leads and getting feedback from Juliet on lead quality, we continuously optimised the audience targeting to remove tyre-kickers.

The Results

The project went live in May 2025, and the combination of a high-converting site and targeted ads has delivered a massive spike in lead volume.

Explosive Lead Volume: In June 2025, the campaign ramped up significantly, generating 86 leads in a single week.
